'Martin Luther King', directed by debutante Poja Kolluru, is the official remake of the Tamil film 'Mandela' (2021). A political satire, the film has Sampoornesh Babu reprising the role originally played by Yogi Babu. As was recently made official, the film will be released in theatres on October 27.
Plans are afoot for a grand release of this content-driven movie with no stars but only artists. The film will be released in 400 screens in the Telugu States.
Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations is the distributor for the Telugu States. AP International is the distributor for Overseas territories.
The team of the film has toured places such as Vizag, Vijayawada, and Warangal. Come October 18, the film's theatrical trailer will try to intensify the buzz around this potential sleeper hit. A day later, public premieres will start to be held in Hyderabad and other places in the Telugu States.
Starring VK Naresh and Venkatesh Maha, the film's story has been written by Madonne Ashwin. The screenplay and dialogues have been penned by Venkatesh Maha. YNOT Studios and Reliance Entertainment have produced 'MLK'.
