Trivikram Srinivas has completed 25 years of being in the film industry. A director par excellence and a writer with a literary bent of mind, he has helmed just a dozen films in the 22 years since he became a director with 'Nuvve Nuvve' in 2002. Here we tell you some interesting facts about him and his illustrious career:
Quality, not quantity: When he turned into a director in 2002, many thought it would be a one-off affair. But his 'Athadu' in 2005 changed the game. It remains one of the best Mahesh Babu movies ever. He was slow in the first ten years of his career as a director. He then fasted the seat belt until the pandemic slowed down things in the industry. He has since worked with many big stars, especially Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun and Jr NTR.
Awards: Trivikram has been conferred with six state Nandi Awards in the Best Dialogue Writer category (for Chirunavvutho, Nuvvu Naaku Nacchav, Nuvve Nuvve, Malliswari, Athadu and Atharintiki Daaredi) and two Filmfare Awards in the Best Director category (for Athadu and Atharintiki Daaredi).
Growth as a producer: After he became a producer on Fortune Four Cinemas, he has witnessed tremendous growth on that front. The more recent 'Tillu Square', which grossed Rs 125 Cr, is one of his crowning achievements. He has produced a number of movies in association with Sithara Entertainments through his wife Sai Soujanya. The banner has been prolific, bringing out a range of movies belonging to multiple genres.
Going international: Trivikram will become a pan-Indian director in the coming years. As per producer S Naga Vamsi in an old interview, he will also be directing an international film of sorts! Once that happens, there won't be any stopping him. This could also mean that we can't expect a Trivikram directorial every two years from now on.
