'AAY' will open in theatres with premiers from the evening of August 15. On Tuesday, its pre-release event was held at a star hotel in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Nikhil Siddhartha said that small movies like 'Jathi Ratnalu' and 'Baby' have proved that Rs 100 Cr is within reach for movies in their league. "I am confident that Nithiin and others are going to create magic," he added.
Presenter Allu Aravind said, "Nithiin is related to Jr NTR but his character in 'AAY' is not a massy one. It is that of a villager. Everyone's struggle is his own. He has worked really hard. He will surely go a long way. Actor Vinod Kumar has taken the film to the next level with his performance."
Producer Bunny Vasu said that Nithiin didn't think twice before accepting the three-hero movie. "Until him, no other hero saw this as a story. He felt highly responsible," he added.
Director Anji K Maniputhra said that 'Jathi Ratnalu' is the inspiration behind 'AAY'. He attributed the film's quality to producer Bunny Vasu's constant backing.
Distributor-producer Dheeraj Mogilineni said that Geetha Arts' movies are filled with strong emotions and solid stories. "The family audience always see their movies as their first choice. 'AAY' is going to have a solid run in theatres for 3-4 weeks," he added.
Distributor Vamsi Nandipati wished everyone all the best. "We are very confident about the success of 'AAY'," he added.
Actor Ankith Koyya said, "Getting to do a film under Geetha Arts for a budding artist like me is not a small thing. Director Anji anna is the reason why I could crack the Godavari dialect. This week, everyone is going to enjoy our movie for sure in theatres."
