Vyjayanthi Movies has locked the release date of 'Kalki 2898 AD'. The sci-fi project, starring Prabhas in the lead role, will head to theatres on May 9 this year. "The story that ended 6000 years ago. πππ π’π§π¬ πππ² πππ‘, ππππ," the makers wrote.
In the beginning, the film was described as an international project. In recent times, we haven't seen such promises being kept by some films. Today's 'Hanu-Man' is a case in point. The film was supposed to be released in five foreign languages. But it has prominently been released only in Telugu and Hindi. 'Kalki 2898 AD' is expected to hit the cinemas in at least one or two foreign languages.
The film's first glimpse was out in July last year. A teaser is expected to be out soon. Also featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan (as the antagonist), Deepika Padukone (seen in the glimpse in an anxious state), and Disha Patani, the film is expected to break new ground on the sci-fi front. With cinematography by Djordje Stojiljkovic, the film has music by Santhosh Narayanan.
