'Aa Okkati Adakku' will hit the cinemas later this Summer. At the film's Teaser launch event today, the makers focused on stressing its merits: Clean comedy, content with a relatable message, rich production values, and a wholesome treat for families.
Allari Naresh, who stopped doing spoofs and parodies in films years ago, was happy to share that 'AOA' is devoid of double meaning jokes. He iterated that the audience can watch it with their families. He began his speech by saying EVV Satyanarayana's 'Aa Okkati Adakku' was about a jobless youngster, while his film is about an employed, aging, unmarried male. In the film's teaser, we see the female lead ('Jathi Ratnalu' fame Faria Abdullah) telling the male protagonist not to ask her that one thing about which the makers are yet to reveal.
After serious roles in 'Maharshi', 'Naandhi', 'Ugram' and 'Itlu Maredumilli Prajaneekam', Naresh is catering to the wishes of those who want an out-and-out comedy from him. Story-writer Abburi Ravi suggested that he experienced immense joy and excitement while writing the comedy.
Debutant producer Rajiv Chilaka has his target clear. As someone who comes from an Animation production background, he wants to make films that will be preferred by the family audience cutting across age groups.
The makers spoke of the entertainment value we can expect from not just Naresh but also Vennela Kishore and others.
Gopi Sundar, one of the most talented Mollywood imports in recent years, has set the songs to tune. Johnny Lever's daughter Jamie Lever has a role.
