Director Virinchi Varma of 'Uyyala Jampala' fame is doing a political drama titled 'Jithender Reddy'. Bankrolled by Muduganti Ravinder Reddy of Muduganti Creation, the film will head to theatres on May 3.
The film traces some real-life incidents that took place in a Telangana village back in the 1980s. With cinematography by VS Gnanashekar, the film has music by Gopi Sundar.
Starring Rakesh Varre as the lead actor, the film is touted to be gritty. The first look of Rakesh Varre has also generated good hype. "Rakesh Varre will gain recognition as an action hero with this film. We are bringing this movie to the audience after screening it for some prominent individuals and gathering their suggestions," the director said.
The film's teaser, trailer and other promotional material will be released soon.
Producer Muduganti Ravinder Reddy said that the entire team worked on 'Jithender Reddy' with great enthusiasm. He added that Virinchi's narration and Subbaraju's character will be among the standout features of the film.
