Dil Raju has revealed that 'Vaarasudu', the upcoming Sankranthi release, was first meant for Mahesh Babu. Since the superstar was busy with some other commitment at that time, the producer mooted Ram Charan's name.
"By the time we could approach Ram Charan, we had locked him for RC15 (directed by Shankar). Since I myself am the producer of RC15, I dropped the idea of going ahead with him on 'Vaarasudu'," Raju said.
The Sri Venkateswara Creations supremo also added that since almost all Telugu star heroes were busy, he and Vamsi Paidipally pitched 'Vaarasudu' to Thalapathy Vijay, who okayed the story in just 30 minutes.
