Barrelakka alias Sirisha was one of the most popular contestants in the recently held Telangana assembly elections. Although she lost her election, she became a social media sensation of sorts.
The news is that she has filed a complaint with the Telangana State Women's Commission against Ram Gopal Varma. Recently, at the pre-release event of 'Vyooham', the director happened to say that Barrelekka has made a name for herself despite not coming from a noted background. He made the remarks while saying that Pawan Kalyan was behaving like a 'barre. "He is 'Barre lekka'," Varma said.
Meanwhile, 'Vyooham' has been stuck in limbo. Days after three YSRCP Ministers thundered that the political drama will surely be hitting the cinemas on December 29, its release has been stalled by the High Court. 'Vyooham', which carries the names of real-life politicians like Chandrababu Naidu and PK, won't be released in theatres before January 11. It might hit the cinemas only in the last week of January.
