Hats off, RGV! Yes, that's what many are saying right now. The filmmaker has made the best audience-friendly decision in years. He has resolved not to make any political films after 'Vyooham' and 'Shapadham'.
"I won't be making political films in the future," Varma declared at the trailer launch event of 'Vyooham'.
This is so refreshing coming from a serial propagandist like Varma, who makes films, by his own admission, based on "impressions" and not rigorous analysis. He is, by his own admission, not interested in politics. If you ask him what makes him take a stance in favour of some politicians and against others, he openly says that it is his "impressions" about them, which are formed based on one version (vetted by the media houses run by one leader) of an incident.
RGV is not interested in governance issues yet likes to make political commentary all the time. He claims to have philosophical thinking but sides with one political party and hates another.
Given all this, it is a relief that RGV has decided to put a lid on his own unbridled propaganda.
