At the pre-release event of 'Hi Nanna', a pic featuring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna was displayed on the big screen. The image was allegedly clicked at a Maldives vacation of the duo more than a year back. It is known that the 'Geetha Govindam' pair are rumoured dating partners.
The image was shown in a lighter vein at the 'Hi Nanna' event. However, the same hasn't gone down well with the fans of the 'Kushi' actor, who feel that it was an attempt to needlessly publicize a private moment. Many fans of the 'Arjun Reddy' actor have got riled up. They took out their anger on the organizers of the event, the 'Dasara' actor as well as host Suma Kanakala.
As per the vocal fans of Vijay, Nani and Co. should have avoided displaying the pic when the VD-Rashmika duo has not come out in the open with their alleged relationship. Others feel that such things are par for the course in the celebrity culture. "The image has been in the public domain. What is wrong with displaying it at a public event? There is nothing cheap or crass about it?" a Netizen observed.
'Hi Nanna' is slated to hit the cinemas on December 7.
