"Witness the worst of humanity," the trailer for 'Kaliyugam' recently said. The horror-thriller, to be released in all major South Indian languages, is set in the year 2064 when the apocalypse has taken over the psyche of its prime characters, especially the one played by 'Jersey' fame Shraddha Srinath. The story primarily takes place between two characters in a claustrophobic atmosphere. The visuals abide by the title, which literally means 'The Age of Darkness'.
Also starring 'Kantara' fame Kishore, the film co-stars Iniyan Subramani, Harry, Asmal, Santhosh, Mani, Aarya Lekshmi, Moses and Master Ronith. Written and directed by Pramodh Sundar, the film has been produced by KS Ramakrishna and K Ramcharan.
Cinematographer K Ramcharan has previously worked under PC Sreeram. Edited by Nimz, the film's music and sound design are by Dawn Vincent. Art Direction is by Shakthee Venkatraj M. Action Direction is by GN Murugan.
