The Trailer for 'Indian 2' is out. The Shankar directorial casts actor Siddharth in the role of a YouTuber who is disillusioned with the system. The comeback of the Indian Grandpa from a foreign country leads to change, as the corrupt are subjected to fear. As far as the Trailer is concerned, Kamal Haasan comes across as a supporting character in terms of run-time. His get-up is absolutely bonkers and laughable. As it is, it is hard to watch Siddharth in commercial movies these days.
Netizens are aggressively trolling the film. "The trailer is proof that bombastic budgets, fierce fight sequences and grotesque getups can't compensate for a lack of a sensible, grounded, creative writer like Sujatha. His genius is still being missed in Kollywood," wrote Tamil Labs 2.0.
Others are keeping their faith in just one man: Shankar. The director's worst film can be better than the best films directed by most contemporary Kollywood filmmakers.
While 'Indian 2' stands a high chance of becoming a hit in Tamil despite average content, in Telugu, the film might find it hard to gain momentum. Anirudh's music is a major demerit. And now, the Trailer is a goner.
