The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) has announced the lineup for its Indian Panorama section at the 55th edition. The showcase will feature a diverse selection of 25 feature films and 20 non-feature films from across the country.
The Telugu film industry is represented in the Indian Panorama with '35: Chinna Katha Kaadu' being selected for screening. This film is among the 25 feature films chosen to showcase. The acclaimed film, co-starring Nivetha Thomas and others, is currently streaming on Aha Video.
Prabhas' 'Kalki 2898AD' from the mainstream cinema section has also made the cut. The Nag Ashwin directorial finding a spot is not surprising, considering its immense popularity. The dystopian epic sci-fi film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The prestigious opening feature film will be 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' (Hindi), a tribute to the iconic freedom fighter Savarkar. This film is expected to set the tone for the festival with its Hindutva narrative. Additionally, 'Ghar Jaisa Kuch', a Ladakhi language film, has been chosen as the opening non-feature film.
