Sai Pallavi's damage control: Will critics forgive her?

Sai Pallavi's old interview recently went viral on social media. In the interview, she insulted the Indian Army by suggesting that Pakistanis are justified in believing that Indian Army men are terrorists.

Probably, she was advised by the makers of her upcoming release 'Amaran' to do some damage control so that there is no boycott campaign against their movie. Or, maybe, Sai Pallavi believes any publicity is good publicity.

The gorgeous actress visited the National War Memorial in New Delhi the other day. She even described the place as a "sacred temple".

Critics are aghast. How can she sympathize with extremist Pakistanis one day and deify martyrs another day? "After all the abuse you threw at the Indian Army for your Pakistani friends, now you have decided it's time for a photoshoot just because your money-minded movie director suggested it?" an X user asked her.

Lt Col N Thiagarajan, an Army veteran, criticized Sai Pallavi. "As a veteran, I am disheartened to see the National War Memorial and the memory of our fallen heroes being used as mere backdrops for film promotions. Honoring our Bravehearts should never be reduced to a commercial tactic," he wrote on X.
